About the Business
Ewa and Anna have been good friends since 1993. They went to the same school and college in the 13th century town of Braniewo (pop 18,000) in northeast Poland, mid-way between Gdansk, Poland and the Russian city of Kaliningrad. Based in Luton from 2003 they found it was a great location for getting work, with many major employers within easy travelling distance. They worked hard and soon progressed into managerial positions, but they were ambitious, they wanted success, and ultimately more independence.
We decided to create our own workplace and a brand new lettings experience for our customers. Our Polish friends and colleagues often asked us for advice about finding a doctor or opening a bank account. They were also having problems renting a home, getting things sorted out when they moved in, and they didn't understand their tenancy agreement. This was mainly due to the language barrier, but partly down to the way some established lettings agencies were run.
