About the Business
Gary had a bit of a nomadic upbringing, living in various places around the country including Bristol, Surrey, Stratford on Avon, the North East and Stirling in Scotland. After several sales type jobs he started in Estate Agency in the early 90's and immediately realised he had found the career he was looking for. His first position was as a negotiator, quickly progressing to valuer and then to Branch Manager. In the late 90's Gary was appointed to an area manager post looking after 9 branches and also took financial exams to allow him to manage mortgage consultants as well as estate agency staff.
In 2004 Gary moved to Cornwall with his family and bought a holiday cottage business. In 2008 he started working for a south west chain of estate agents in their mortgage department and in 2010 opened Newman & Company after feeling that he could do a much better job than his current employers.
