LOUTH is sometimes described as an undiscovered treasure set on the eastern edge of the Wolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Louth has a population of 15,930 and has been of major importance in the district since it's beginning well before Roman times and is now a busy market town. The townscape is dominated by one of the most beautiful spires in the country. The church of St. James is the tallest parish church spire in England; the hexagonal spire soars to 90metres or 295feet. There are many different types of sports facilities available in Louth including golf, bowls, swimming and tennis. Nearby Cadwell Park hosts many motorcar and motorcycle race fixtures.
